Laura’s connection to RJK Optometry runs deeper than most. Long before she sat on this side of the consulting room, Laura was a patient of our practice. It was here, in this very building on Arthur Street, that her interest in optometry first took root — eventually leading her to pursue a career in eye care herself. That she has now returned home to Coffs Harbour, not just as a clinician but as a partner, feels like a wonderful full-circle moment for our practice and our community.

Her Path to Optometry

Laura graduated in 2022 with a Master of Optometry from the University of Canberra, bringing with her a strong foundation in full-scope optometry. Since then, she has gained valuable experience across a range of clinical roles, sharpening her skills and developing a genuine enthusiasm for the ever-evolving challenges of modern eye care.

Laura has a special interest in dry eye management, and works closely with our team to help patients find lasting relief using our advanced diagnostic and treatment technology. She is also currently furthering her expertise through an Advanced Certificate in Contact Lenses, reflecting her commitment to offering patients the very best in specialty contact lens care.

Laura is a member of Optometry Australia and stays actively engaged in ongoing professional development, ensuring her patients always benefit from care that reflects the latest advances in the field.

When she’s not caring for patients, Laura can usually be found making the most of everything Coffs Harbour has to offer — exploring our beautiful beaches, staying active at the gym, and spending quality time with family and friends.
